Day 2 | ![]() Anchorage to TalkeetnaTravel 114 miles through the Mat-Su Valley to Talkeetna, the supply base for Mt. McKinley climbing expeditions. Afternoon jetboat excursion on the Susitna and Talkeetna Rivers, is included. |
Day 3 | ![]() Talkeetna to DenaliToday’s route over the Parks Highway covers 150 miles to Denali National Park. Look for views of Mt. McKinley. |
Day 4 | ![]() DenaliFree day for drive into the park on your own, as far as Savage River. Ask for optional trips for flightseeing, guided hiking, or rafting. |
Day 5 | ![]() Denali to GlenallenDrive over the highly scenic Denali Highway, a long time favorite destination for local Alaskans. Have your camera ready. Continue to Glennallen for your overnight stay. (232 miles) |
Day 6 | ![]() Glenallen to ValdezEnjoy a picturesque trip of 119 miles over the Richardson Highway to Valdez, know as “Little Switzerland”. Highlights are the Trans Alaskan Pipeline, Worthington Glacier and Thompson Pass. |
Day 7 | ![]() Valdez/Whittier/AlyeskaThis morning board the Alaska Marine Highway Ferryliner with your car, for a scenic cruise past Columbia Glacier to the port of Whittier. Drive 28 miles, through the Anton Anderson Tunnel and over the Seward Highway to Girdwood, for your overnight. Tram to the top of the mountain is included. |
